Mehmet Güleşci
Chairman of the Board of Directors
He was born in 1962. After graduating from the Business Administration Department of Boğaziçi University, he completed his master’s degree in the same field. Between 1984 and 1996, he worked at the Istanbul and Boston offices of Ernst & Young, earning CPA certifications from both Türkiye and the State of Massachusetts, USA. While serving as a partner, he joined Finansbank as Executive Vice President in early 1997 and continued his career as a Board Member and Executive Board Member until the end of 2009. In addition to his roles as a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at Fiba Group, he serves on the boards of the Group’s domestic and international financial and non-financial investments.
Murat Özyeğin
Vice Chairman of the Board
He began his professional career in 1998 as a Financial Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at the New York office of Bear Stearns & Co. Investment Bank.
In 2000, he was transferred to the company’s London office as a Senior Analyst.
He returned to Türkiye in 2003 and took on an active role in the management of the family businesses. He established the Strategic Planning and Business Development departments at Finansbank and Fiba Holding.
Before assuming the role of Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Fiba Group in 2019, he served as a Member of the Board of Directors between 2003 and 2019.
In addition to his responsibilities within Fiba Group companies, Murat Özyeğin currently serves as Chairman of the Türkiye–U.S. Business Council (TAİK) and as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Women on Boards Association. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) between 2017 and 2023. He also continues to serve as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation, a Member of the Harvard University Global Advisory Council, a Member of the Harvard Business School Dean’s Advisory Board, a Member of the Board of Directors of Endeavor Association, and a Member of the Global Relations Forum.
He has been serving as the Honorary Consul of Singapore since 2016.
He holds a dual major undergraduate degree in Industrial Management and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Murat Özyeğin is 48 years old and is the father of three daughters and one son.
Ali Nazım Belger
Member of the Board of Directors
He was born in 1939. After graduating from Robert College in 1960, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Lausanne. Between 1967 and 2004, he held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Head of Section at the Consular Department, Special Advisor to the Minister of State, Head of the Information Department, Deputy Director General for Bilateral Economic Affairs, Foreign Policy Advisor at the Ministry of National Defense, and Coordinator for Latin America.
He also served abroad in diplomatic missions in Paris, Algiers, Sofia, Strasbourg, Sana’a, and Caracas, holding positions such as First Secretary, Counsellor, Consul General, and Ambassador.
He retired after 39 years of public service, having most recently served as Ambassador in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since 2005, he has been serving as Vice Chairman of the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation and as a Member of the Board of Directors of Fiba Gayrimenkul Geliştirme İnşaat ve Yatırım A.Ş.
Ayşecan Özyeğin Oktay
Member of the Board of Directors
Ayşecan Özyeğin Oktay completed her undergraduate studies in Economics at Duke University. Between 2003 and 2006, she took an active role in various projects within the Retail Banking Division at Finansbank, and between 2006 and 2007, she worked on different projects in the Business Development and Strategy Department at Fiba Group. After completing her MBA at Stanford University in 2009, she rejoined Fiba Group. Before assuming the role of Vice Chair, she served for 10 years as a Member of the Board of Directors at Fiba Group and its various subsidiaries. In 2019, she was appointed Vice Chair of Fiba Group. In 2021, she became Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board at Credit Europe Bank and currently also serves as Chair of the Fiba Group ESG Committee.
In addition to her roles within Fiba Group, she leads the Özyeğin family’s social responsibility initiatives as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) and as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation. She is also a member of the TÜSİAD Entrepreneurship and Youth Roundtable, the Ashoka Social Entrepreneurship Support Network, the Esas Social Advisory Board, the UN SDSN Türkiye Advisory Board, and the Endeavor Mentorship Network. She also served as a member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council between 2014 and 2018.
Fevzi Gür Aslan
Board Member and Chief Executive Officer
After graduating from the Department of Architecture at Edirne State Academy of Architecture and Engineering in 1982, he worked on various superstructure projects in Saudi Arabia until 1990. He later returned to Türkiye and held senior management positions at Yüksel İnşaat, contributing to major projects such as Swissotel Bosphorus, Hyatt Regency Hotel, the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) Building, Metrocity, and several others. He subsequently served as General Coordinator for the Group’s projects in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Jordan.
Between 1994 and 1996, he worked at Ata Construction Group, where he managed hotel projects in St. Petersburg, residential projects in Siberia, and Burger King projects and construction works in Türkiye.
Between 1997 and 2014, he rejoined Yüksel Holding and held senior executive roles across various group companies, including Yüksel Yapı Yatırım, Yüksel Seramik, Seltur, YTY Yüksel Turizm, and Yüksel İnşaat. He also served as a Member of the Executive Committee in the FibaYüksel Çubuklu Vadi Project.
Since October 2014, he has been serving as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Fiba Gayrimenkul Geliştirme İnşaat ve Yatırım A.Ş. During this period, he has overseen and contributed to a wide range of projects, including the Özyeğin University Faculty of Architecture, ES LAB, dormitory projects, master planning and sports facilities, NEF/Çekmeköy residential developments, Swissotel renovation projects, the Kaplankaya 78-villa project, as well as various project and construction works across group companies. In response to the 2023 Türkiye earthquake, he also led the delivery of 3 container cities, 2 schools, 3 AÇEV facilities, and the Adana Child Wellbeing Center.
