Under the Galata Mevlevihanesi Museum Preservation & Development Project, separate elevation, reconstitution, and restoration projects were undertaken; structural examinations were carried out; laboratory studies of building materials were performed; and archives were searched for historical references. The projects and reports based on these activities were approved by the Ministry of Culture (Cultural and Natural Assets Conservation Board) and restoration work has begun.
